Remembering the Fall of the Twin Towers
I remember well the day the Twin Towers fell. It was so absolutely tragic. I was stunned that something like this could actually happen to our country. It was televised on every channel for 24 hours over multiple days. I could not pry myself from the TV. I was stunned and just couldn’t believe my eyes. Every chance I got, I would sit and let myself be glued to the television screen as images of airplanes crashing into those buildings and people (real people with families and homes and hopes) tossed themselves out of windows and talking heads talked about how we should respond. I remember wondering how we would actually defeat the ones who did this. I remember thinking, it doesn’t really matter if we go to war and defeat some particular organization because the ideology behind the organization was not some particular person or group; it was an evil, Satanic ideology that would not go away even if we defeat a particular named group of people we called the enemy.
I want to leave social media. I just want to delete all my social media platforms. But, I can’t seem to draw myself away. I can’t pry my eyes away from these crashing ideologies and people (real people with families and homes and hopes) tossing themselves into the abyss of hatred, fear and division; while the principalities and powers seem to have their way with us.
We want someone to blame; some person or group of persons. We want to blame the Republicans or the Democrats. We don’t realize that we are being duped! We cannot defeat sin through legislation or violence. We can only defeat sin in our own hearts through the blood of the Lamb. Jesus Christ has defeated sin and death. We must look to Him; we must look to the cross. Only “love covers a multitude of sin”. The only thing stronger than death is love! Some might decry this and say that we don’t need “love” we need action! The fact is; love has come, and it was anything but soft and mamby-pamby. The most powerful and strong action anyone has done throughout history was not through violent defeat of armies, because those armies always return in another form, led by another person. The most powerful and strong thing anyone has ever done was what Jesus Christ did on the cross. He defeated the root of all the sin in the world; he defeated death, hell and the grave.
Please hear the passionate plea of my heart; our only hope my friends is to turn with all our hearts to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen Gary. People need to see we are fighting against the devil and we can’t win without Christ. 🙏🏻❤️
